It’s not everyday that our Local Celebrities attend a “prestigious Event” such as the Bridgerton Affair. And as much as there were many many breathtaking looks. Some celebs just did not understand the assignment!
Starting our list off the beautiful Nadia Nakai. As flawless as her hair and makeup looked, the dress was not giving the “I Am A Prestigious African Queen.” When we see Nadia at such an event we expect her outfit to be screaming Goddess. As much as we don’t hate the outfit and we love the concept behind the dress. We just feel that someone like Nadia could have done better.
The beautiful Dineo Moeketsi. She is one of the most beautiful ladies inside and out. When it comes to her outfit for the event, it’s a bit underwhelming. Her hair and Makeup just like Nadia was absolutely flawless. But her overall outfit didn’t give us the star of Bringerton with a touch of African. Her outfit is admirable but lacks the wow element.
Olwethu Leshabane and her husband. Need we say more… The outfits were not terrible. But the styling behind the fits were not so amazing. So Olwethu is dressed in a beautifully designed Maxhosa garment. And we love it… although we haven’t made our minds up about loving it for this specific event. While on the other hand her husband’s styling was a bit off. The suit is lovely but ill-fitting with the green top underneath… We’re not crazy about the overall look.
Finally we have the beautiful Palesa Mokubung. If anything we know Palesa for her beautiful designs. These designs have an African aesthetic to them as well. Making her the perfect person to be dressed by at this event. It’s so surprising to see the queen herself in such an anticlimactic dress. The artistry is definitely visible in the dress but the material and potentially the colours used take away the wow factor of the overall look.
