ulti-award-winning hip hop maestro AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes has apologized for the “awkward” interview with 947’s Thando Thabethe, which took place on Friday!
During the interview Thando Thabethe told AKA that they have to speak about the elephant in the room, claiming that the rapper said nothing during an interview he had with Thembekile Mrototo.
She asked if he feels a need to say something about the “incident” that left his wife-to-be, Anele Tembe dead.
“You wanna call it an ‘incident’? This is my life and to you, it’s an incident… It’s something that I am living with in my life. It’s none of your business,” said AKA.
However, on Tuesday AKA set the record straight saying that Thando Thabethe has always been in his corner from the start, even through everything that has happened this year.
“I’ve been seeing a lot of whoo ha on social media about our interview on Friday. For the record, I just wanna say that @thando_thabethe has always been in my corner from the start, even through everything that has happened this year,” said AKA.

AKA said that it was unfortunate that he felt triggered by the way Thando Thabethe asked her questions, and that he could have handled it better.
“It’s unfortunate that I felt triggered by the way she asked her questions and I could have handled it better, after all, she’s just doing her job and all that. We have nothing but LOVE for each other and when I’m ready I’ll be back chopping it up with her as always,” said AKA.
Supa Mega said that he also wants to send his love to the 947-Joburg family.
“I also wanna send my LOVE to the @947joburg family, who have always been there for me. Shit happens… I’m Sorry,” concluded AKA.
