Television Writer and Producer Pfarelo Mulondo, having worked for SABC1’s Khumbul’eKhaya said that he can assure us that 99,9% of the cases are deadbeat fathers!

“I worked for Khumbul’eKhaya for 6 years and I can assure you that 99,9% of the cases are deadbeat fathers. This is not only about what you see on screen but other cases resolved behind the scene,” says Pfarelo Mulondo.
Pfarelo Mulondo says that the crazy part is that most of these men don’t want to be found.
“With those ridiculous numbers, the crazy part is that most of these men don’t want to be found… Lol we got shouted at as a screw and some even shame their kids for looking for them and that’s when I knew Niggas ain’t sh***”

“Another guy once told his son who was looking for him that “ake onyake, okay you found me, I didn’t wanna be found because you’re bad vibes” wtf, how’s the unborn baby bad vibes? … mind you the kid didn’t even want money but just a relationship with his father,” says Pfarelo Mulondo.
He continued to say that: ” When we thought we’ve seen it all, another married guy in Soweto withdrew a gun on the crew and also his daughter… he wanted to shoot us for finding him. HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT WHEN YOUR DAUGHTER DOESN’T HAVE PADS?”
Pfarelo Mulondo says that he was always depressed at the office because children were looking for their fathers on Khumbule Khaya.
“But their fathers never wanted to be found,” says Pfarelo Mulondo.
