- Fall asleep faster
So according to the National Sleep Foundation, your body temperature is one key factor in terms of how you fall asleep. It’s actually part of your circadian rhythm – which is roughly the 24-hour cycle in the physiological process of living beings, in other words, the biological rhythm that acts as your body’s clock for sleep. Circadian rhythms are endogenously generated, although they can be modulated by external cues such as sunlight and temperature. Are we still together in terms of sleeping naked in order to fall asleep fast? Cooling down tells your body it’s time to sleep, so sleeping naked you’re allowing your body temperature to cool down.

2. Better Sleep Quality
According to Health Line not only does cooling your body help you fall asleep faster, but it also improves your overall sleep quality. Experts also suggest that the ideal temperature for your bedroom is somewhere between 60 and 67°F (15 to 19°C).

During the study they split participants into three groups – on that received adequate sleep, one that was sleep-deprived, and a third that was sleep deprived but received extra nutrients. What Physiology found was that the group that slept well recovered faster than the other two groups. The extra nutrition didn’t make a significant difference in how fast the wounds healed. So sleeping naked helps you fall asleep faster and getting enough sleep helps your skin to recover and stay healthy.

4. Reduce stress and anxiety
Have you ever been prescribed anti-depressants? Then you should know how it feels after they knock you out for a good 8-hours. Another reason sleeping naked might be good is that it could help reduce your overall stress and anxiety. It’s not gossip that poor sleep has a major impact on your stress levels. The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry suggests that poor sleep is linked to depression and even increased suicide risk.
5. Improves your relationship
While making-up (increased chances of having sex) can be a great part of your relationship, sleeping naked with your better-half can be just as wonderful. One study discovered that skin-to-skin contact between adults stimulates the release of oxytocin (which plays a vital role in building attachment between partners) – the hormone secreted by the posterior lobe of the pituitary gland, a pea-sized structure at the base of the brain. It’s sometimes known as the “cuddle hormone” or the “love hormone,” because it is released when people snuggle up or bond socially.
