Maya Wegerif, popularly known as Sho Madjozi is mourning the tragic death of her sister, Makhanani Maganye who died in a vehicle accident on December 17, 2019.
On behalf of Sho M, We wish to express our gratitude for the support we have received following the tragic death of her younger sister, Makhanani Maganye, in a car accident on the 17th of December in Bungeni Village, Limpopo. Makhanani was laid to rest on Sunday 22 December,” reads a statement released by her management on Thursday morning.

We Make Music Ltd said that they further thank all the organizers of various shows that Sho could not honor during this difficult process.
“We acknowledge and appreciate the disappointment of fans who were looking forward to her performances and appeal for their understanding and support,” further reads the statement.
They said that she will be back at work as soon as she is in a position to do so.
“The love and support from family and friends have kept her going as she mourns her dearest sister and friend. Lastly, we urge everyone to drive carefully especially during the festive season,” reads the statement.
Sho Madjozi’s management further said that should there be further updates they will communicate accordingly.
