South Africans got the shock of their lives on Tuesday when a scary picture of Gqom singer Babes Wodumo, real name Bongekile Simelane emerged.
Her boyfriend Mampinstha, real name Mandla Maphumulo also shocked locals in November when a video of him lost weight emerged.

Mampintsha defended his weight loss and said that if people think that he’s sick it’s fine, that’s their problem.
“I’m not sick, I’m okay. If you want to know about my weight loss, get the weekend paper,” he was quoted as saying.
Tweeps went heavy on Babes comparing her to Amy Winehouse.
There are also assumptions that the image might have been photoshopped to mock Wodumo and Mampintsha’s “toxic” relationship.

Babes Wodumo hasn’t commented on the issue of her drastic weight loss.
