Thuthuka Does Not Want To Be Kissed On The Lips

It is no secret that fame comes with meeting a lot of fans every day. Fans who often show so much love and affection. Especially when they meet their favourite television or radio personality and for many Uzalo fans, Thuthuka Mthembu, is a favourite.

It can be overwhelming. Some want to take pictures with you, while others want you to hug them.
But, some of Thuthuka’s supporters have taken it too far. A little overboard if you ask Mgosi, as they kiss her on the lips, and she is fuming.
According to Daily Sun, the actress says she loves her fans dearly, but does not want them to kiss her on the mouth because this makes her feel uncomfortable.

“Nonka” as many viewers of the most-watched TV show in South Africa call her, has asked some of her fans to tone it down with the kisses, especially on her lips.

“I love my fans deeply. But sometimes they put me in an uncomfortable position. There are different incidents where some of them go as far as kissing me on the mouth. For me, this is not right,” said Thuthuka.

Mthembu went on to say that it is difficult to be a celebrity because people judge you. Also, when fans get overwhelmed by excitement and do things that you do not like, it comes across as if you are rude or arrogant.

“Being celebrated is hard. And people are sensitive towards celebrities. It is easy for them to judge us. To them, it’s like we are living in another planet. Imagine telling an excited person to stop what they are doing? That would be interpreted as rude or arrogant. That’s what I sometimes go through. have to smile and pretend that everything is fine, whereas it’s the opposite,” she added.

She continues to express that fans should teach themselves how to treat celebrities because they are human too.
“I think fans must be taught how to treat celebrities. I don’t know who should teach them. But they must know that celebrities have rules and feelings as well. I know that without my fans, I’m nothing. I regard them as my bosses. But they must know that we must treat each other in a respectful way,” she said.
