During an interview with Anele Mdoda on Real Talk, the internationally acclaimed DJ discloses what happened to his left arm. This is after decades of keeping it a secret.
Aren’t we glad the suspense is over? Now we get to understand the full story about Black Coffee.
The media personality narrated how on the eve of the late Nelson Mandela’s release in 1990, he and his grandmother joined the crowds in celebrating the big event.
At around 3 or 4 am, he heard a loud blast that sounded like a gunshot. He blacked out and when he later woke up, there was fire and people including himself were being rushed to the hospital.
Apparently, a taxi swerved off the road and bumped people who were on the street. At the hospital, doctors examined Black Coffee’s hand. And concluded that it was just a minor fracture and sent him home.
But the pain persisted and after a day, his grandmother sent him to a hospital in Durban. This is where he consulted with a specialist.
