Legendary South African DJ Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo has reached out to the SAMAs suggesting that they should make history by adding Master KG’s Jerusalema on this year’s awards!

“@TheSAMAs don’t you wanna make history, by adding Jerusalema on this year’s Awards… I mean you can,” wrote Black Coffee.
The self-appointed Black Twitter President @uMalambaneZN questioned: “Won’t that compromise all past awards by questioning this particular placement into a category whereby musicians who felt the same way as Master KG in previous awards, will now challenge all past awards to be received via the newly “proposed” placement criteria.”

Black Coffee responded by saying: “No it won’t, besides we focusing on fixing the future…the entire country knows it belongs there, they could even run a petition to be signed by the public, that could help also.”
“Music doesn’t need Visa to travel and music it doesn’t matter where you come from. And the type of music you do… It is possible to be heard all over the world… Just believe in yourself and work hard and respect your work,” Master KG.
Master KG, real name Kgaogelo Moagi, and Nomcebo Zikode were recently appointed South Africa’s ambassadors to the world.

The appointment was made by the Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture Nathi Mthethwa under his department’s Cultural Diplomacy Programme, which takes artists from South Africa to other countries for a period showcasing SA’s creativity.
“I’m very much honored to be appointed alongside the ever talented Master KG as an ambassador. Thanks to the minister, Nathi Mthethwa for recognizing our hard work and the rest of the world for making JERUSALEMA what it is today,” wrote Nomcebo Zikode.

With Jerusalema’s international success, Nathi Mthethwa has thanked musician Master KG and vocalist Nomcebo Zikode for putting South Africa on the map.
